Scotty is remembered fondly in our hearts for so many reasons and by giving a gift of a permanent headstone lets him know, in Heaven, we will always remember and he will never be forgotten.

Our dear friend, Scott Spencer Short, passed away February 21, 2012 and was laid to rest at the Midland Memorial Gardens out M-30. He has never had a marked grave, and we feel he deserves one. With the blessing of his Mother, Vicki Eden; we, Bill McGraw, Chris McGregor, and Susan Votaw are putting together this fundraiser to give Scotty this gift.

Our primary focus is this donation site to reach our goal of $2000 quickly. Out of every $100 donated his fundraiser receives $99. All monies received will be used for his Mother to pick out and purchase his headstone; any money unused for this purpose will be donated to Special Olympics of VA & MI in Scott's name.

If you are local or in the area we are hosting a big event Saturday, April 18th from 1-5pm in Midland, Michigan at Fricks Bar located at 4408 N Saginaw Road. We will have different fundraising events going on during this time and are hoping we have our goal reached by April 19th. (please see the Pool Tournament event page on this site for more details.)

Scott was born Feb. 21, 1969, in Midland, a proud graduate of H. H. Dow High School class of 1987, Scott was a Volunteer Deputy Sheriff for Midland County before relocating to Virginia for employment with Alstom Power Company. Scott attended John Tyler Community College for mechanical engineering and was extremely proud to be active with the Special Olympics of Virginia for 10 years.

Scott's fundraiser would like to reach the goal of $2000 by April 19, 2015.

Please help, no matter how big or small, your donation will be happily accepted. Thank you.

Any questions please contact Bill McGraw, Chris McGregor, Joe Wray or Susan Votaw.
